Your Mission?
As our Purchasing Manager , youll lead the procurement function for our cabinet manufacturing operations, ensuring strategic sourcing, cost control, and just-in-time material flow. Youll be responsible for securing the materials that keep production movingwhile constantly driving improvements in supplier performance, pricing, and process efficiency.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
What Youll Be Doing (and Owning from Day One):
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies to secure high-quality materials (raw materials, hardware and other supplies) at an optimal cost.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to build long-term, reliable supplier relationships.
- Track and report cost savings, supplier KPIs, and procurement performance metrics.
- Oversee order tracking, confirmations, and ensure timely documentation and delivery of materials.
- Align receiving processes with purchase orders and quality expectations to avoid production disruptions.
- Monitor inventory levels and align purchasing with production and warehouse teams for just-in-time availability.
- Monitor Market trends and Identify opportunities to streamline procurement workflows and reduce supply chain risks.
- Lead supplier contract negotiations and ensure favorable terms that support production needs and profitability.
- Mentor and lead purchasing staff, developing a high-performance team with a culture of accountability and results.
What Were Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing or supply chain managementcabinet manufacturing or millwork industry preferred
- Proven ability to reduce costs, optimize supplier performance, and manage vendor relationships
- Experience with ERP systems and procurement software
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented manufacturing environment
- A continuous improvement mindset with the drive to own and improve key business processes
