Regulatory Data Analyst - Financial Services
role at
RGP . In this hybrid role, you will be part of a critical initiative focused on ensuring data accuracy, quality, and compliance for U.S. regulatory reporting. Your work will directly support high-impact reports such as Basel, Y-9C, 2052a, and Call Reports. This is a long-term opportunity where you will collaborate across finance, technology, and data governance teams to ensure data integrity and audit readiness. What you will work on Identify and source data elements required for critical U.S. regulatory reports Profile and validate data from enterprise data warehouses for compliance needs Create detailed Source-to-Target (S2T) mapping documentation with full data lineage and transformation logic Run advanced SQL queries across platforms (including Google BigQuery) to verify data accuracy Collaborate with finance, data governance, and technology teams to align data sourcing with reporting requirements Assess data quality and completeness, identify gaps, and define defaulting logic Support the development of data controls and validation rules for audit readiness Clearly document sourcing logic, assumptions, and business rules for stakeholder sign-off
What you will bring
Required Skills & Experience: 6+ years of experience in data sourcing, financial data analytics, or regulatory reporting Strong knowledge of U.S. regulatory reports such as Basel, Y-9C, 2052a, and Call Reports Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration with finance and reporting teams Advanced SQL proficiency and experience querying data in cloud environments like Google BigQuery Hands-on experience building and maintaining S2T mapping and data lineage documentation
Technical Competencies: Expertise in data profiling and quality assessment Experience working with enterprise data warehouses and governance frameworks Understanding of data transformation logic, control points, and validation rules Ability to define and implement data gap remediation strategies
Preferred Background: Prior experience in large financial institutions or banking environments Familiarity with automated data controls and audit readiness requirements Strong understanding of data governance best practices
Soft Skills: Excellent communication and documentation skills Analytical thinker with a strong problem-solving mindset Ability to coordinate approvals and align stakeholders on data sourcing decisions Comfortable working across finance, technology, and governance teams
