Principal Data Center Solutions Architect

Job Summary: The White Glove Service Data Center Solution Architect role is a key position which requires a strong background in data center facility solution design, build, and sourcing along with infrastructure solutions experience. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data center solutions that meet the organization's infrastructure and business needs. You will provide advanced consultation and technology recommendations which span many technological areas to meet the customers IT needs. You will work closely with internal cross-functional teams, and customer IT teams to ensure the successful execution of data center projects. Responsibilities Data Center Solution Design: Collaborate with customers to understand data center requirements and develop comprehensive data center solutions Design and architect data center infrastructure to meet scalability, availability, and performance requirements Ensure data center designs align with industry best practices and compliance standards Facility Build Expertise: Assist customers as they execute on the construction and commissioning of data center facilities, including power, cooling, and physical security infrastructure Assist customers in their vendor relationships and coordinate construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget Sourcing And Procurement: Provide detailed analysis and justification to backup recommendations by identifying and recommending sources for data center equipment and components from reputable suppliers and vendors Work with customers in negotiation of contracts, pricing, and service level agreements with vendors to optimize cost-effectiveness and performance Manage inventory and ensure equipment availability as per project timelines Infrastructure Optimization: Monitor and evaluate the performance and efficiency of data center systems Recommend and implement improvements to optimize infrastructure, enhance energy efficiency, and reduce operational costs Risk Management And Compliance: Identify and mitigate potential risks related to data center operations and facility build Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including security, environmental, and safety guidelines Documentation And Reporting: Maintain accurate records, project documentation, and reports related to data center operations and projects Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and performance metrics

General Qualifications

Proven experience in data center facility build, solution design, and sourcing, preferably in a supervisory or staff-level role In-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling systems, and physical security Strong project management and vendor management skills Familiarity with data center technologies and industry trends Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams Strong analytical and decision-making skills Strong technical speaking and consultative sales skills prior work as senior Systems Engineer a plus Willingness to travel as needed to support data center projects

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science or related field 12+ years of related work experience Strong analytical skills Excellent organizational and leadership skills Must be able to multi-task DC Networking hands-on expertise some Industry Certification desired DC Storage solutions expertise SAN design, understanding of hyperconverged offers, performance tradeoffs Expertise in Server considerations and deployments including connections to network and storage in DC and at remote site Expertise in VMware technologies, Linux distributions, Firewalling solutions, including security segments, rules, DMZ Expertise in network services including load balancing, VPN terminations, SASE Expertise in air cooling and principles of liquid cooling along with DC power (CRAC, PDU, etc.)

Salary

$200,000 - $230,000 The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs. EEO Statement
