Guest Service Agent

to join their dynamic team. This 267-room hotel is located off I-680, 11 miles from Silicon Valley and San Jose, with the Great Mall just 10 minutes away and Levis Stadium about 20 minutes away. Hourly Rate:

The hourly rate for this role is $20.25 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location. Responsibilities

Greet guests and complete the registration process including inputting and retrieving information, confirming guest details and room rate, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing a welcome packet and ensuring the guest knows the room location or has a bell person escort. Assist guests with check-out including ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted for, using the POS system, handling money, processing payments, accepting and recording forms of payment, converting foreign currency, and processing gift certificates and cards. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of hotel information including room categories, rates, packages, promotions, the local area and general product knowledge; answer guest questions and inquiries. Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities and maximize room occupancy. Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner. Field guest complaints, conduct research and resolve and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction. Receive, input, retrieve and relay messages to guests via the hotel's messaging system. Be a Champion of Service for our guests utilizing the HEART model and contribute to positive guest experiences. Support lobby maintenance to keep the area clean and welcoming for guests. Be available for evening shifts, weekends and holidays. Qualifications

At least one year of customer service experience required. At least one year of front desk/guest service experience preferred. At least one year of hotel/hospitality experience in a fast-paced environment preferred. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Ability to multitask and work under pressure. Ability to answer phones, respond to guests, and check in/out guests as needed. Friendly, positive can-do attitude and a team player. Able to respond to guest requests with a sense of urgency. Open availability to work a mixture of daytime and evening shifts including weekends and holidays. Experience with OnQ Front Desk is an asset. A desire to grow a career within Hilton.
