Overview
The Information Technology department is seeking three Application Developers to join their team in Duluth, MN. Two of the positions are dedicated to specific departments and the third position will support the St. Louis County users. Additional details for each position can be found below. Responsibilities
Enterprise Custom Developer
Serving various users within St. Louis County. Professional work developing software applications to support internal business needs and external customers. Work can vary from programming Web Applications using C# and MVC Framework in Visual Studio to report and dashboard creation using Power BI and SSRS.
Configuration Developer
Professionally configuring and developing software applications to support the Sheriff's Office. Work includes configuring and maintaining Tylers public safety modulesprimary workflows, fields, forms, and managing user accessas well as report and dashboard creation using Power BI and SSRS. This applicant should be comfortable documenting requirements with Sheriff's Office employees and configuring, testing, and training end users to those specifications.
Configuration Developer (Public Works)
Configuring and developing/customizing software applications to support the Public Works Department. Work includes configuring and maintaining Maximo Asset Management softwarescreens, fields, domains, workflows, automation scripts, and reporting (BIRT & SSRS). Additional custom development using C# and MVC will assist in interface development and support. Proficiency in JavaScript, Jython, SML, and SQL is preferred to aid in development and customization of Maximo.
Salary
The full salary ranges listed below include longevity pay. IT Applications Developer Associate (Pass/Fail): $29.02 - $41.01 per hour. IT Applications Developer (Pass/Fail): $33.43 - $47.63 per hour. IT Applications Developer Senior (Pass/Fail): $35.96 - $51.38 per hour. This position is part of the Civil Service Basic Unit Employees Collective Bargaining Agreement represented by Council 5 of AFSCME. Employment Eligibility

An employee in this class is responsible for a wide range of routine applications development tasks and projects; assists with routine development efforts to maintain and develop software systems. Duties include assisting in creating and implementing software applications for the County. The work is performed under the direction of assigned supervisory staff. IT Applications Developer Associate (Pass/Fail): Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or a closely related field; OR graduation with an Associates degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or a closely related field AND two (2) years full-time paid verifiable experience in either general application development or document imaging/workflow development; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the Human Resources Director. Possession of a valid drivers license.
