Overview
Responsible, professional Human Resources work serving as an HR Business Partner to three assigned county departments. The salary range reflected above is the normal hiring range for 2025. The full salary range, for a Human Resources Advisor, including longevity pay, is $30.11 - $43.11 per hour. The full salary range, for a Human Resources Senior Advisor, including longevity pay, is $36.30 - $52.37 per hour. This position is part of the Civil Service Confidential Union Contract represented by the Confidential Public Employees Association. St. Louis County does not participate in E-Verify. All employees must be continuously authorized to work in the United States, for St. Louis County, on a full-time basis. St. Louis County does not provide sponsorship for employment visas. An employee in this class is responsible for providing professional human resources work in an assigned program area. Duties include advising staff on county policies and procedures, Civil Service rules and laws, and collective bargaining agreement provisions, recruitment and assessment, benefits, classification and compensation, reasonable accommodations, performance management, business systems and records maintenance, and training and development. The work is performed under the direction of assigned supervisory staff. These work environment factors are general in nature and may vary depending on the specific position being filled. Minimum Qualifications - Human Resources Advisor (Pass/Fail):
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, management, public administration, or closely related field; OR graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree and one (1) year full-time paid verifiable professional human resources experience as determined appropriate by the Director of Human Resources and Administration. Possession of a valid drivers license. Minimum Qualifications - Human Resources Senior Advisor (Pass/Fail):
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelors degree in business administration, human resources, management, public administration, or closely related field AND four (4) years full-time paid verifiable professional human resources experience; OR graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelors degree and five (5) years full-time paid verifiable professional human resources experience as determined equivalent by the Director of Human Resources and Administration. At the discretion of the hiring authority, the successful candidate may be considered for appointment at the Human Resources Advisor or Human Resources Senior Advisor level, contingent on minimum qualifications and department need.
