Base pay range $85,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr VP | Digital transformation leader for staffing firms | AI-enabled revenue growth Our client is a boutique commercial real estate company specializing exclusively in retail properties in the Baltimore-Washington metro area. With approximately 30 employees and strong retention rates, they lease over 20 million square feet of retail space and represent about 150 retailers on an exclusive basis. The company focuses primarily on suburban shopping centers anchored by major retailers like Target, Costco, and Whole Foods and urban, mixed-use projects. As a privately held company, they maintained full employment during COVID and offer exceptional job security with a fast-paced, collaborative work environment that values speed and shared responsibility. Primary Purpose of Position Lead marketing strategy and creative direction to revitalize marketing materials and establish a strong social media presence. This role will oversee content review and provide creative direction for all marketing communications, working collaboratively with an established team of graphic designers and GIS specialists to enhance the company's market position and support leasing and development initiatives. Essential Functions Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans with focus on digital communications, social media strategy, and brand consistency Provide creative direction to upgrade marketing materials while working within existing resources Oversee website redesign, company brochure redesign, and have complete responsibility for social media presence (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok) Review and approve all marketing content, including broker blasts and email marketing communications (multiple times weekly) Develop and coordinate press releases and media strategy for leasing transactions and business accomplishments Content Creation & Production Management
Lead creative development and execution of retail leasing materials, pitch decks, and tenant tour packages Manage branding consistency across all marketing touchpoints Oversee the development and maintenance of property newsletters and websites Execute design work during busy periods or emergency quick-turnaround projects Provide content generation, editing, and production oversight with flawless grammar and communication skills Work collaboratively with the existing marketing team, including two graphic designers and 4 GIS specialists Provide creative direction and workflow management while respecting established team dynamics Coordinate with team members to execute projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment Make recommendations for team optimization and process improvements Requirements and Qualifications
Education & Experience BS or MS degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field required Minimum of 5 years of experience in the communications/marketing field Knowledge of commercial real estate operations strongly preferred Experience in retail real estate marketing is desirable Technical Skills Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) - must be able to execute design work Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) Esri/GIS training a plus Core Competencies Exceptional grammar and editing skills - critical for content approval responsibilities Proven creative direction and strategic planning abilities Strong qualitative and quantitative market analysis skills Excellent communication, organization, and multi-task management abilities Effective problem-solving and independent work capabilities Ability to provide creative direction without requiring expensive overhauls Experience working in fast-paced entrepreneurial environments Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with established teams Reporting Structure Reports to company leadership for content and creative matters Reports to HR leadership for administrative and personnel matters Note: This position provides creative oversight and direction but does not include hiring/firing authority
