About this Marketing Role The Marketing organization influences decisions by establishing and communicating our full product value proposition across the full value chain, from payers, to health systems, to prescribers, to patients. Marketers are masterful storytellers - accountable to inform positioning using an insight-driven marketing strategy, deliver simple compelling customer-led Performance Marketing creation, and design outstanding integrated customer experiences in partnership with networked partners (e.g., Customer Engagement and DDA). Marketers strategically use resources and their network to drive patient outcomes for today’s innovations, and fuel tomorrow’s breakthroughs. This Performance Marketing Engagement Lead role is integral to successfully delivering the Digital Marketing Vision. The Digital Marketing Office, led by the Head of Digital Marketing and reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, drives Genentech’s digital marketing transformation and is focused on activating 4 key areas. One of these focus areas is Performance Marketing. The candidate in this role will report to the Senior Director, Performance Marketing and assist with the coordination of performance marketing strategy and execution, contributing to the adoption of tools and practices that meet brand goals and support efficient, high-quality business outcomes. The candidate will work closely with functional partners in analytics, operations, and other areas to help execute the team's shared vision, roadmap, and implementation plan. Key Job Responsibilities

Establish, evaluate, and iterate workflows for performance marketing activities while collaborating with and seeking input from brand marketing to surface opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness and efficiency Actively support Performance Marketing activation activities with brand teams, including utilization of measurement tools, identification of business needs for performance insights, upskilling marketers on tools like MMM and Leading Indicator Dashboard, and contributing to change management efforts to promote engagement and adoption of performance marketing practices Provide hands-on support and coaching to marketers across brand teams, helping them navigate Performance Marketing tools and ensuring consistent application of best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable workflows and practices for performance marketing execution and reporting, ensuring alignment with brand strategies and overall Marketing goals Develop and maintain documentation and training materials (playbooks, onboarding materials etc) to support marketers in their day-to-day performance marketing activities, ensuring that all team members have access to up-to-date resources and guidelines Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to enhance the effectiveness of Performance Marketing. Contribute to initiatives that have broader organizational impact across the Marketing Function and advancing progress towards our CMG outcomes. Lead and/or participate in flexibly deployed work teams across the CMG network, contributing novel ideas or approaches based on their areas of expertise. Work autonomously to make decisions and act, in close alignment with the full product value proposition, customer positioning, and Squad priorities. Demonstrates Proficiency within the following Key Competencies Senior Marketing Managers are expected to consistently perform at a proficient level (proficient is defined as leveraging competencies across the business in a consistent, integrated way) Customer Understanding Competitive Value Creation Strategy Development Integrated Campaign Development Project & Vendor Management Performance Marketing Development & Approval Execution Readiness Delivery & Optimization Across Channels Measurement & Iteration Who You Are: Minimum Candidate Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree Two years of marketing experience or one year of marketing experience and an MBA 5 years minimum work experience, with 3 years of commercial experience (e.g., market access, marketing, sales or customer insights) Experience in brand marketing, with exposure to marketing planning and campaign execution. Experience in a performance marketing, marketing analytics, or digital marketing role with responsibilities related to campaign tracking, reporting, or data analysis. Experience using marketing analytics tools (e.g., web analytics, advertising platforms, BI tools, MMM) to pull and review data. Familiarity with basic data interpretation and identifying trends in marketing data. Exposure to experimentation concepts or campaign optimization activities. Experience working in a team environment that utilizes data for marketing decisions. Preferred:

MBA or other related graduate-level degree preferred Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry Experience in working closely with AORs, creating marketing strategies, plans, and tactics that have strengthened market positioning and financial results Proven track record in creating strategic recommendations that drive impact Hands-on experience with specific performance marketing tools such as Marketing Mix Modeling, leading indicator dashboards (e.g., LID), or web analytics platforms (e.g., Content Square, Google Analytics). Demonstrated ability to translate data from performance reports into actionable insights for marketing teams. Experience supporting A/B testing or other experimentation initiatives, including setup or results analysis. Ability to drive a data-driven media practice, focus on metrics that matter, and drive business performance forward without unnecessary complexity and overanalysis. Understanding of digital marketing channels and how their performance is measured. Experience in developing training materials or supporting others in learning new analytical tools or processes. Expertise in all aspects of Product Marketing to include positioning, branding, campaign development and channel mix Ability to think with an enterprise mindset Ability to flex and thrive in an ambiguous environment undergoing transformational change Location

This position is based in South San Francisco, CA Relocation assistance is not available at this time. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of CA is $155,200 - $288,200.

Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed below.
