Position Description and Responsibilities Selected candidates will work collaboratively with Davey Resource Group project developers, biologists, and project managers. The position involves a variety of work including ecological restoration, technical report writing, and management of projects that include environmental planning, monitoring, construction, and management. The primary focus of this position is to provide senior level project management and expertise, and to play a key role in developing new projects, including preparation of proposals, grant writing, networking and identifying new client relationships and project opportunities. This may include attending conferences/workshops and public speaking. Note:
The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency with managing large scale ecological restoration projects, bidding complex projects, and construction oversight of restoration projects; be capable of managing large projects with multiple subcontractors; and maintain an existing network of clients and contacts within the ecological consulting industry. Required Qualifications
Minimum of a four-year degree in biology, ecology, conservation, environmental science, or related fields. At least eight years of experience working in the natural resources field performing ecological consulting work. Valid driver's license and a good driving record. Desired credentials include PWS, ESA Certified Ecologist, and/or CPESC. Teamwork-oriented mindset with excellent written and oral communication skills, and a professional work ethic with attention to detail and safety. Additional Information Full-time position. Compensation based on qualifications and experience. Davey Resource Group offers competitive wages, excellent benefits, and the option to buy company stock after one year.
