Overview
Location: Akron-Cleveland, OH area. We are currently looking to add a motivated Survey Crew Chief to our team of Civil Engineering and Surveying professionals. Responsible for all aspects of survey related field operation for residential and commercial land development projects, stream and environmental restoration projects and various utility projects.

Responsibilities
Responsible for all aspects of survey related field operation for residential and commercial land development projects, stream and environmental restoration projects and various utility projects.
Operate and maintain company provided survey vehicle; vehicle may be provided for transportation to and from home/work after grace period.
Work with junior level surveyors, interns or technicians; provide guidance on objectives and critical issues.
Must be client focused and team oriented; manage multiple projects and timelines; maintain good driving record.
Qualifications
High school or equivalent minimum.
8-10 years of full-time crew chief work experience.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus but not required.
Knowledge of current surveying technologies including conventional surveying instruments and GNSS equipment.
Strong problem solving, technical capacity and communication proficiency; ability to guide junior staff and interact with internal staff and customers.
Work Environment / Hours This is a full-time field position and will require the candidate to perform duties in many different weather conditions. There is a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week. Hours may be flexible based on circumstance. There may be a requirement for overtime based on workload.
Travel Minimal to no overnight travel is anticipated for this position.
Required Education And Experience
High school or equivalent minimum.
8-10 years of full-time crew chief work experience.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus but not required.
