Snap Inc. is a technology company focused on camera-based products. We seek a Sr. Data Scientist to join the Product team and contribute to data-driven decision making that informs product and business strategy. What youll do

Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and statistical modeling to deliver impactful, objective, and actionable data insights that enable informed business and product decisions. Drive informed and timely decision-making to improve and optimize how products are created, executed, and adopted. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, product marketers, and designers. Think creatively and proactively to identify and size opportunities within Snaps long-term roadmap for data-scientific contributions. Conduct machine learning or statistical analyses and build scalable, rigorous solutions that provide actionable insights, accurate predictions, and effective optimizations. Communicate best practices in quantitative analysis and develop cross-functional partnerships. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Expertise using data modeling to identify key product trends and new opportunities. Ability to design, implement, and track core metrics to analyze product performance. Ability to create visuals, dashboards, and reports to communicate insights effectively. Experience collaborating with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams. Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance. Strong understanding of Snapchat and product sense. Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis clearly and actionably. Minimum Qualifications

BS/BA degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis and data science or related field. Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of experience with SQL or similar big data querying languages. 5+ years of experience with programming languages such as Python or R. 5+ years of experience with applied statistical techniques (inferential, causal, A/B testing, or statistical modeling). Advanced degree in applied mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics or related field. Experience in a product-focused role at a social media, online advertising, digital media, or mobile technology company. Experience using machine learning and statistical analysis to build data-driven product solutions or conduct methodological research. Accommodations

Compensation: In the United States, salary ranges vary by location. The base salary range for this position is as follows: Zone A: $190,000$284,000; Zone B: $181,000$270,000; Zone C: $162,000$241,000. This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
