Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced IP Paralegal Manager to lead and oversee our U.S. Patent Prosecution Paralegal Team. This critical leadership position will manage a team of 17 paralegals, ensure top-tier support for patent prosecution matters, and drive improvements in processes and consistency across our Intellectual Property practice.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of 17 U.S. patent prosecution paralegals, including assignments, workload balancing, and performance management. Serve as the escalation point for complex prosecution tasks and procedural matters. Collaborate with attorneys, docketing, and legal support teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of prosecution support. Create and implement best practices to promote efficiency, consistency, and regulatory compliance. Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training of new paralegals. Evaluate team and individual performance; provide coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities. Partner with legal operations and docketing teams to monitor deadlines, ensure quality control, and assess workload metrics. Drive process improvements and contribute to firm-wide IP initiatives. Required Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of U.S. patent prosecution experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Must have prior experience working in a law firm (corporate/in-house backgrounds will not be considered). Deep knowledge of USPTO rules, procedures, and electronic filing systems (e.g., EFS-Web, Patent Center). Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program. Experience managing international workflows or in global IP operations.
