We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SAP Solutions Architect - Production Planning and Quality Management to join our team. The SAP Solutions Architect Production Planning and Quality Management will analyze, configure, design, and implement solutions in Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM). This role develops end-to-end SAP processes for manufacturing and qualitycovering inbound, in-process and outgoing product qualityand builds collaborative supplier integration. Key focus areas include APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), QIR (Quality Issue Resolution), creation of Business Process Documents (BPDs) and effective supplier collaboration. Key Responsibilities
Design and implement secure, compliant, and cost-effective cloud integration solutions. Analyze, design, implement integration requirements, architect cloud infrastructure and continuously optimize performance and cost. Analyze, design, implement business requirements for manufacturing strategies (make to stock, make to order) and design appropriate SAP PP solutions. Configure master dataincluding material masters, bills of materials (BOMs), routings, work centers and production versionsto model Amplifys battery cell manufacturing processes. Implement demand management, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), Long Term Planning and capacity planning to ensure efficient production scheduling and resource utilization. Set up planning strategies, lot size procedures, and production scheduling profiles. Manage production orders through creation, release, scheduling, confirmation, and settlement. Integrate PP with quality management (e.g., in process inspections, final goods inspections), plant maintenance (ensuring equipment readiness), material management, finance/controlling (costing and variance analysis) and MES systems for real time shop floor execution. Support advanced PP functions where applicable, such as Kitting, Variant Configuration, Kanban, or Batch Management, and ensure data consistency and traceability throughout the production lifecycle. Document PP processes comprehensively in Business Process Documents (BPDs). Design, configure and implement quality inspection processes for inbound raw materials, in process operations, and outgoing finished goods. Create inspection plans, sampling procedures, control plans and characteristic specifications to support APQP and PPAP requirements. Implement Quality Issue Resolution (QIR), Non-Conformance Report (NCR) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes for capturing, analyzing, and resolving defects or non-conformities across the product lifecycle. Configure quality notifications, defect recording, usage decisions and corrective/preventive actions, integrating NCR/CAPA workflows to address root causes and prevent recurrence. Ensure final products meet customer and regulatory requirements through robust outgoing inspection processes and compliance checks. Develop and implement EDI integrations and supplier quality interfaces to exchange PPAP/APQP documentation, certificates of conformance, NCRs, CAPAs and other corrective actions. Establish collaborative processes for monitoring supplier performance, managing non conformances and coordinating corrective action plans. Integrate supplier collaboration tools (e.g., Ariba) with SAP to streamline supplier onboarding, communication, and quality tracking. Create and maintain Business Process Documents (BPDs) and process flow diagrams that capture current processes, requirements and proposed solutions for production planning, inbound and outgoing quality management, supplier collaboration and QIR. Ensure SAP PP/QM solutions integrate seamlessly with other SAP modules (MM, SD, FI/CO, PM/EHS, WM/EWM) and third-party systems (MES, LIMS). Facilitate data flows with suppliers via EDI and collaboration platforms. Lead SAP implementation and upgrade projects from analysis through design, configuration, and deployment. Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables. Provide Level 2 and 3 support troubleshooting complex issues. Train end users on SAP PP/QM functionality, APQP/PPAP workflows, QIR, NCR/CAPA processes, outgoing quality management and the use of BPDs. Work with stakeholders in production, quality, maintenance, and EHS to analyze existing processes. Design and document optimized manufacturing schedules, capacity planning and quality assurance workflows, including final inspections and shipping quality controls. Implement end to end workflows for production orders, supplier collaboration, quality inspections (incoming, in process, outgoing) and QIR handling. Stay current on SAP S/4HANA innovations, industry standards and emerging technologies (IoT, machine learning, advanced analytics). Identify opportunities to enhance production planning, predictive quality, and supplier collaboration through technology. Perform root cause analyses for recurring issues. Implement corrective actions and update BPDs to reflect improvements. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; SAP certifications in PP, QM, PM are preferred. 6+ years hands on experience configuring and supporting SAP PP and QM modules, with at least two full implementation cycles. Strong knowledge of manufacturing and quality standardsincluding APQP, PPAP and QIRin industries such as automotive or EV. Experience in supplier quality collaboration and EDI integration is highly desirable. Proficiency with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori apps. Deep understanding of integration with MM, SD, FI/CO, PM/EHS and WM/EWM. Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), analytics tools and integration technologies (IDocs, BAPIs, EDI). Knowledge of supplier collaboration platforms (e.g., Ariba) is a plus. Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
