Regulatory Specialist
As a Regulatory Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and updating regulatory documentation, including specifications, nutritional information, and allergen statements. You will track allergens from raw materials to finished product labels, approve supplier and raw material documentation, and conduct internal audits while supporting external inspections. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure compliance is integrated into product development and stay current on evolving regulations across North America, the EU, and Australia. Responsibilities: Maintain and update regulatory documentation such as specifications, nutritional information, and allergen statements. Track allergens from raw materials to finished product labels. Approve supplier and raw material documentation. Conduct internal audits and support external inspections. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance is embedded in product development. Stay informed on evolving regulations in North America, the EU, and Australia. Essential Skills: Proficiency in regulatory processes, including SQF, allergen tracking, and labeling compliance. Experience with regulatory submissions and regulatory affairs. Knowledge of organic certification and kosher/halal regulatory standards. Understanding of international regulations, particularly in Australia, Canada, and the EU. Ability to support audits and proficiency with Genesis Software. Additional Skills & Qualifications: 35 years of experience in regulatory affairs, preferably in the food, flavor, or fragrance industry. Degree in food science or a related field, or equivalent experience. Strong attention to detail and accountability. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities. Experience with SQF, GMP, Kosher, Halal, Prop.65, and CAS numbers. Work Environment: The position offers a 4/10 work schedule, with hours from Monday to Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and Fridays off.
