Pantheon Data is seeking a
Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect
to join team and design secure, scalable cloud solutions in support of mission-critical military and government client projects. This role requires a hands-on, keyboard-first approach to deliver high-assurance cloud environments that meet rigorous DoD cybersecurity, compliance, and interoperability standards. You will partner with military stakeholders, program managers, and technical teams to architect, implement, and optimize AWS-based infrastructure to ensure operational readiness, system integration, and adherence to federal regulations such as NIST, FedRAMP, and DoD Cloud Computing SRG. Responsibilities
Architect, design, and implement AWS-based infrastructure solutions for classified and unclassified environments in alignment with DoD and federal compliance standards. Build and manage NoSQL and RDBMS database environments supporting secure mission applications. Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable, and compliant deployments. Ensure system interoperability and integration across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments for joint military operations. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar tools to enable secure, repeatable deployments. Collaborate with cyber teams to integrate security controls into infrastructure designs, ensuring compliance with RMF (Risk Management Framework) requirements. Provide architectural governance and technical leadership across multiple defense program teams. Maintain awareness of emerging cloud and security technologies relevant to DoD mission needs. Required Skills And Experience
5+ years of IT infrastructure architecture experience, with 3+ years in cloud-focused roles. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). Demonstrated experience architecting solutions in accordance with DoD Cloud Computing SRG and RMF requirements. Proficiency in secure networking, encryption, and identity/access management in classified and unclassified environments. Strong command of AWS cloud architecture best practices, including cost optimization, availability, and resilience. Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized with a strong commitment to quality. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations. Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work. Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint. Preferred Skills And Experience
Experience supporting government or military programs with mission-critical cloud deployments. AWS (Amazon Web Services) certification(s) a plus. Working knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology. Experience with project tasking tools, like JIRA/Confluence. Demonstrated ability to mentor junior employees. Clearance Requirements
U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Work Location
