Chief Pharmacy Officer (CPO) Key Responsibilities
Lead ambulatory clinical pharmacy strategy, operations, and performance. Collaborate with physicians, clinical teams, and pharmacy leadership to integrate services system-wide. Hire, develop, and mentor pharmacists, residents, and support staff. Monitor and report key performance indicators related to medication therapy outcomes, population health, patient experience, and access. Drive fiscal management of ambulatory pharmacy services, including budget creation, expense monitoring, and growth planning. Oversee compliance with all federal/state regulations and accreditation standards (e.g., TJC, CMS, OSHA). Coordinate formulary management and 340B program utilization across MHN health plans. Support residency program development and ensure compliance with accreditation standards. Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and innovations in ambulatory care. Represent ambulatory pharmacy on internal and external committees and work groups. Serve as a member of the MHN Pharmacy Leadership Council. Qualifications
Experience leading ambulatory clinical pharmacy services within a health system. Ability to manage clinical staff, programs, and partnerships. Strong understanding of clinical practice standards, healthcare regulations, and the 340B Drug Pricing Program. Knowledge of formulary management and 340B program utilization. Familiarity with accreditation standards (e.g., TJC, CMS, OSHA). Excellent communication and leadership skills. Employment Details
