Responsibilities
Lead and support end-to-end WMS implementation projects, including system configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. Translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical configurations within the WMS. Conduct gap analysis between existing WMS capabilities and business needs; recommend and implement appropriate solutions. Configure and customize workflows, user roles, location setups, and inventory rules to align with operational processes. Perform root cause analysis on system issues, coordinating with vendors and internal IT teams as needed for resolution. Monitor WMS performance and run regular system health checks to ensure uptime and stability. Provide Tier 2/3 support for warehouse users and troubleshoot complex issues related to receiving, putaway, picking, packing, and shipping processes. Develop and maintain detailed documentation for WMS configurations, enhancements, and troubleshooting steps. Facilitate user training and create SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to support system adoption and compliance. Support integration efforts between the WMS and other enterprise systems such as ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle), TMS, and MES. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system-driven process improvements and automation initiatives. Participate in regression testing and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for new releases and patches. Work with external vendors and internal stakeholders to coordinate software upgrades, patches, and scheduled maintenance. Provide 24/7 on-call support for critical warehouse operations, when required. Qualifications
5+ years
of experience implementing and supporting a tier-one Warehouse Management System (WMS). Strong proficiency in
DB2 SQL
and relational database design and querying. Experience with
JCL ,
Flat-Files ,
CopyLibs , and performing database updates on both
hierarchical (e.g., SUPRA)
and
relational
database systems. Working knowledge of
COBOL
is required. Proven ability to reverse engineer complex queries and workflows to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Strong analytical thinking and technical problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Solid understanding of
inventory management ,
warehouse operations , and
supply chain processes . Demonstrated experience maintaining and supporting WMS platforms in operational environments. Benefits
