Job Description: The Fuel Technology Team supports capabilities within our Company. We strive to do this by delivering purpose-built technology in the Cloud, focusing on our data foundation, and assessing current business process and modernizing those. The Sr. Project Manager for Fuel Technology will be responsible for leading the team through application upgrades. This role will partner not only with our internal team, but also with other Technology Teams within our company, our Business partners (span across finance and supply chain) and our application Vendor. The Sr. Project Manager will also partner with the internal team on enterprise modernization efforts as well as guiding the team through decommissioning our Fuel Hedging application. The Senior Technology Project Manager is a detail-oriented thinker and strong communicator, who is ready to drive the future of Southwest's Technology. This DFW-based role is offered as a remote workplace position, which may require travel for trainings, meetings, conferences, etc. Outside of those required visits, the majority of your working time may be spent in an approved remote location within the DFW area. U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S. required and no current or future work authorization sponsorship available. Responsibilities
Partner with Technology Managers and Directors to lead large Technology projects/programs in support of department or enterprise strategic plans Serve as a project leadership resource responsible for driving analysis, recommendations, decisions and delivery Define complex project plans/roadmaps for multiple simultaneous projects or for a single highly complex project or program including scope, budget and schedule and execute tasks defined in the project plan to achieve project goals using standard project management methodologies and practices Work with development and application teams to break down work into smaller components or features and to identify the critical path Drive testing and acceptance of project or program results across multiple teams Mentor and coach other Project Managers Monitor risks, issues, and scope proactively, ensuring the appropriate level of priority, visibility and escalation Communicate plan and all relevant components such as risk, schedules, expectations and ongoing updates to stakeholders, sponsors and project teams to maintain project alignment Build partnerships to collaborate and influence to gather customer and business requirements and communicate effectively with all project teams and support groups Work with partner teams across portfolios to plan dependencies, track execution, and visualize the full scope of work including business capabilities and architectural runway May perform other duties as directed by leaders Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Expert knowledge of project processes, problem management tools and procedures Advanced knowledge of Agile development practices and ceremonies Advanced knowledge of application impact on operational and business functions Strong financial acumen to interpret corporate financial analysis and financial statements Strong customer service and team orientation Ability to assume a high level of responsibility and provide direction in a team-oriented environment Effective verbal and written communication at all levels Ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-based environment and maintain composure under pressure Leadership to direct performance of outside contractors and maintain positive relations with internal customers Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED Experience
Required: Expert-level experience in project management with strong technology project delivery Required: Experience developing technology delivery plans, including risk identification and mitigation plans Required: Strong communication skills at all levels Preferred: Experience in SAFe and Agile environments; understanding of SAFe methodology Preferred: Experience with Supply Chain principles and methods; knowledge of Fuel logistics Licensing/Certification

Competitive market salary from $128,350 per year to $142,600 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible leadership and individual contributor roles, bonus opportunities are available at the discretion of the company.
