Overview
The Government Markets and Risk Adjustment teams are responsible for the strategic leadership, financial performance, and operational success of Blue Shield of California's government sponsored health plans. The Executive Assistant, Senior will report to the Senior Vice President of Government markets. In this role you will support the Senior Vice President of Government markets as well as the Risk Adjustment leadership team. This role will require the ability to exercise good judgment and a high level of discretion, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain balance among multiple competing priorities. The Executive Assistant, Senior position requires the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment on projects from inception to completion and must be able to work under pressure to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. Responsibilities Provide analytical and specialized administrative support to relieve and assist executive managers of complex details and advanced administrative duties Collect and prepare information for use in discussions/meetings of executive staff and outside individuals Analyze problems, determine approach, compile and analyze data and prepare reports/recommendations Contact company personnel at all organizational levels to gather information and prepare reports Manage day-to-day organization of executives' calendar, appointments, meetings, and related schedule Coordinate with external parties, such as vendors and providers, in scheduling meetings Assist with onsite event or meeting planning, travel arrangements, and expense reports
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience At least 5 years of prior relevant experience Experience as an Executive Assistant supporting Vice President level and above executives, including calendar management, executive-level meeting support and preparation, and report generation Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, electronic communications, and technical savviness Experience and ability to design, set up and manage internal processes and protocols
