Senior SQL Developer
RiVidium Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in managing and optimizing Microsoft SQL Server (2016-2019) and other enterprise-grade databases (Oracle, DB2, MongoDB, MySQL). This role includes supporting database operations for an enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform, including RSA Archer, within a secure federal environment. Responsibilities for this position shall include, but are not limited to: Administer and maintain databases supporting Dev, Test, UAT, and Production GRC instances in HCAP Lab and CSO-managed infrastructure. Support Microsoft SQL Server, including configuration, performance tuning, backup/restore operations, patching, and high availability/disaster recovery (HA/DR). Troubleshoot issues involving SQL Server Failover Clustering, Always On Availability Groups, and other high availability architectures. Design and plan database upgrades and migrations, including detailed checklists, fallback procedures, and stakeholder coordination. Implement and maintain secure access controls, patch management, and compliance with DISA STIGs and HHS security policies. Collaborate with Application Administrators to design and test schema changes, optimize SQL queries, and recommend indexing strategies. Develop and utilize SQL scripts (DQL, DDL, DML, DCL) for automation, data manipulation, and troubleshooting. Use tools such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), PowerShell, and ServiceNow for day-to-day administration, monitoring, and ticket tracking. Maintain RSA Archer database configurations per vendor standards and federal compliance frameworks. Ensure alignment with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, CIS Controls, and internal audit standards. Provide on-call support as part of a 24/7/365 rotation and participate in incident response activities as needed. Requirements for this position shall include: 5+ years of experience administering SQL Server (2016-2019) in enterprise environments. 2+ years supporting RSA Archer or similar enterprise GRC platforms. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field Strong knowledge of database performance tuning, HA/DR design, and security hardening Familiarity with LAN/WAN troubleshooting, system optimization, and cross-functional IT collaboration Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate RSA Archer Administrator (preferred) CompTIA Server+, or equivalent database/infrastructure certifications Experience with Oracle, DB2, MongoDB, or MySQL is highly preferred.
