Key Purpos

The

Vivarium Cage Wash Technician

is responsible cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining all animal caging materials, cagewash equipment, and vivarium spaces to support scientific research. Under the general direction of the lead technician and the overall direction of the supervisor, this position shall be responsible for the hands-on execution of all room cleaning/sanitizations in the Vivarium and surrounding areas.

Must be 18 years of age, or older Related GMP manufacturing experience is preferred Ability to work in a highly regulated professional environment High School Diploma, or equivalent, required Ability to read, write, speak English, and communicate effectively required Understand that safety is a top priority and comply with all safety rules, policies, and procedures Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment Knowledge of basic chemical and biological safety procedures is a plus Should possess basic math skills AALAS Certification a plus Key Accountabilities

Perform preventative maintenance on tunnel and rack washer systems Sanitize animal cages and equipment Set up animal housing according to TTG guidelines Perform sanitizations per GMP regulations in production areas (mop and/ or wipe floors, walls, ceilings, curtains, etc.) Wear full PPE for extended periods of time Strictly adhere to Safety and GMP SOPs and perform related documentation clearly and legibly Appropriately escalate any incidents or constraints to supervisors Participate, as needed, in the investigation and CAPA process for incidents and deviations Perform activities in a way to prevent cross-contamination Receive garment and uniform inventory and stock supply rooms in production areas Empty trash containers and maintain an adequate amount of cleaning supplies Supports all local manufacturing operations Supply components, small parts, tubing, etc Complete relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines Manually clean portable equipment and small parts Receive and distribute supplies into the production area as necessary Train other technicians if applicable May perform other duties as assigned Physical Demands

To perform the necessary functions and tasks of the job you are required to: Stand 33%, Walk >66%, Sit Use of hands and fingers to, touch, handle, rub, grip, and feel Reach above shoulders Push/pull and grasp with hands and arms 33-50% Climb or balance Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Perform repetitive tasks Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (up to 2 hours at a time followed by a 15-minute break) over an entire 8- or 12-hour shift Must be able to climb ladders and stairs while wearing special gowning Must be able to push and pull up to 100 pounds (with assistance of material handling equipment) Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 to 50 pounds Frequently lift 0-10 pounds Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods Work Environment

Must be able to work in controlled environments requiring special gowning. Will be required to follow gowning requirements and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body No make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish, or artificial fingernails may be worn in the manufacturing environment Will work in a cold, wet environment Must be able to work multiple shifts, including weekends Must be able to work overtime as required May be required to work in a confined area
