IT/OT Networks Administrator II Multi-Site Manufacturing Plants

Role overview The IT Administrator II IT/OT Networks is responsible for day-to-day administration to support network infrastructure as well as the IT convergence and security of Niagaras OT infrastructure. This includes network operations and security resources based on system requirements and advanced troubleshooting in a distributed environment to ensure continued business operations. This is a hands-on operational role with on-call responsibilities, maintaining SLAs for the infrastructure supporting Niagaras critical business applications hosted in the datacenters and remote manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities Leverage tools like Cisco Catalyst Center and SolarWinds to monitor and analyze the performance of existing wired and wireless networks at all Niagara sites; identify deficiencies and implement optimization strategies for improved network efficiency and end-user experience. Manage and configure networking equipment; maintain configurations and logs; assist with network moves, adds, and changes. Proficient knowledge of VPN technologies and concepts (AnyConnect and GlobalProtect); Cisco routing and switching technologies (IOS CLI & GUI); Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls. Work with OT systems (SCADA, PLCs, HMIs, ICS) and their integration into IT systems; monitor OT environments with tools such as Claroty and CyberVision for performance, anomalies, and security risks. Experience with industrial protocols (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Modbus); respond to and resolve issues within OT environments to minimize production impact. Act as a liaison between manufacturing technology and IT infrastructure teams; participate in departmental projects to ensure timely completion. Implement and monitor security policies and procedures; maintain documentation; perform firmware and patch deployment to network devices; review logs and perform root cause analysis when needed. Travel: approximately 25% (average travel one week per month).
Qualifications
Required:
2-4 years of experience in a Networking Administrator IT/OT technical role (experience may include a combination of work experience and education). Preferred:
4-6 years of experience in a Network Administrator IT/OT technical role (experience may include a combination of work experience and education). Certifications:
Required
CCNA or similar certification or equivalent work experience;
Preferred
CCNP. Education:
Minimum
Associates Degree;
Preferred
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience. Foreign language: None required; preferred elementary proficiency in Spanish.
Competencies
Technical proficiency and the ability to stay abreast of new technologies; ability to educate oneself and build vendor relationships. Troubleshooting skills; ability to analyze complex network issues and resolve OT/IT issues. Project management, time management, and documentation skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects. Strong communication skills; ability to convey information effectively to technical staff, end users, and management. Converged network concepts; router ACL configuration/troubleshooting; Cisco switches and routers; routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP); SD-WAN/SDN concepts (DMVPN, SD-WAN) a plus. Demonstrated ability to build relationships, strong business acumen, leadership, and customer focus.
