LifeMD is seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Technology team. This individual will serve as a critical link between software development and IT operations, designing, implementing, and maintaining automated processes for software delivery, infrastructure management, and system monitoring. The primary objective is to accelerate release cycles, enhance system stability, and improve overall operational efficiency across our cloud infrastructure, while adhering to healthcare industry compliance standards including HIPAA and SOX. Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS using Terraform Develop and version control Terraform modules for automated provisioning, updating, and de-provisioning of cloud resources (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda) Design, build, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for various applications and microservices Integrate automated testing, static code analysis, security scanning, and deployment steps into CI/CD workflows Implement, configure, and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Datadog) for all environments Develop dashboards, metrics, and alerts for real-time visibility into system health, performance, and security events Proactively analyze logs and metrics to identify bottlenecks and issues Participate in on-call rotations to swiftly respond to and resolve critical incidents Automate repetitive operational tasks and deployment processes using Python and Bash Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience 3+ years as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, or similar in a cloud-native environment Expert-level proficiency in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.). Knowledge of GCP, Digital Ocean, and Azure concepts Expertise in Terraform for multi-cloud provisioning and management Strong Git/GitHub experience and PR workflows Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, ELK) Strong cloud networking knowledge (VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancers, DNS, VPNs) Understanding of cloud security best practices, IAM, security groups, and data protection Experience with databases (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL) Knowledge of Ansible for cloud automation, Linux administration Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork; self-motivation and continuous learning mindset Preferred qualifications
Experience in healthcare or regulated environments with HIPAA or SOC2 compliance Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer - Professional, AWS Solutions Architect) Proficiency with Python and Bash; knowledge of Node.js or PHP Docker and container orchestration experience (Kubernetes, AWS ECS) Strong documentation and ownership mindset; able to work independently and with cross-functional teams Benefits
