About The Role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will architect, automate, and optimize cloud-based infrastructure and containerized application platforms in AWS. You will lead the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps toolchains to enable seamless software delivery and operational excellence. The role requires deep expertise in containerization technologies (Docker and AWS ECS) with a forward-thinking approach toward Kubernetes (EKS) adoption. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance automation, drive innovation, and ensure security and compliance in cloud environments. Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and management of AWS-based containerized platforms, focusing on Docker and AWS ECS, with an interest in fostering Kubernetes (EKS) adoption and best practices. Architect and automate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible for scalable, repeatable, and secure cloud environments. Develop, maintain, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/CloudBees CI for seamless build, test, and deployment automation. Drive GitOps best practices, elevating declarative infrastructure management through GitHub Enterprise and related workflows. Enhance DevOps toolchain management, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins/CloudBees CI, Artifactory, and Vault. Advance automation to improve infrastructure efficiency, reduce operational overhead, and optimize cloud costs. Collaborate with software engineers, security teams, and cloud architects to integrate DevOps best practices, cloud-native solutions, and container security. Implement security best practices in containerized applications, ensuring IAM, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and HashiCorp Vault usage for secret management. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership to foster a DevOps culture of automation, innovation, and continuous learning. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize containerized environments using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry for observability and performance tuning. Stay updated on industry trends and evaluate emerging DevOps and cloud-native technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Skills And Qualifications
7+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), with a strong emphasis on AWS and containerized environments. Expert-level proficiency in Docker and AWS ECS, with understanding of container orchestration, networking, and security. Experience in deploying containers on AWS Fargate, with interest in evolving Kubernetes (EKS) expertise. Deep expertise in CI/CD automation, including Jenkins/CloudBees CI, with enterprise DevOps pipelines experience. Strong GitOps knowledge with the ability to implement best practices within GitHub Enterprise. Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible for cloud provisioning and configuration management. Proficiency in Linux administration, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, and security best practices. Extensive experience with DevOps security tools, including HashiCorp Vault for secret management and IAM for access control. Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry. Solid networking knowledge, including AWS VPC design, security groups, IAM policies, and load balancing. Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure and deployment issues to ensure high availability and reliability. Preferred: Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS + Azure), Kubernetes (EKS) workflows, GitOps tools (ArgoCD/Flux), AWS App Mesh, Istio, Linkerd, and serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, API Gateway).
Compensation
The anticipated salary range is $130,000 to $155,000 at the start of employment. The actual offer is dependent on location, skills, experience, and other qualifications. A discretionary bonus may be offered under the applicable incentive plan. Competitive benefits are included as part of the total compensation package. Work Location
