Master Data Manager

The Manager, Master Data leads a team of Master Data Analysts to ensure that the company realizes the value of its item and vendor data assets by establishing the proper collection, maintenance, and integration of item and vendor data for front end and pharmacy functions, including Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Store Operations. Accountable to ensure that their team maintains data quality and compliance in day-to-day operations for items and vendors in specified product categories. Job Responsibilities Perform data analysis to identify issue patterns and risks, and use this analysis to drive the resolution of systems and process issues through partnership with business and IT functions. Lead and support your team to partner and coordinate across retail functions, including Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Space Planning, to ensure the timely, complete, and accurate setup of items to be procured and/or sold. Track and audit the performance of offshore teams to ensure the successful execution of item and vendor setup and maintenance processes and to ensure data quality. Develop subject matter expertise for all processes and attributes related to item and vendor setup. Train and guide your team to perform higher level data maintenance activities that cross systems to ensure timely issue resolution for items or vendors in specific product categories. Communicate the impact of business analysis results to partners and business leaders through email or presentations. Mentor, coach and evaluate team members. Develop team members through orientation, training, establishing objectives, communication of rules, and constructive discipline. Build employee morale, motivation, and loyalty. Train analysts on the structure and operating details of the data and data analysis. Lead and participate in short-term project teams, as needed. External Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in Data management, analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions or High School/GED and at least 5 years of experience in Data management, analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and with strategic business partners in a matrix organization. Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, lookups, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling). Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font). At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership. Preferred Qualifications At least three years of experience querying databases (for example: SQL, Golden, Business Objects, EDW, SAS and/or SQL Server). Power BI experience. Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns). Stibo, SAP MDG, or SAP S/4 experience. Expertise in item and vendor data analysis and data management. Retail industry experience. Understanding of enterprise level data quality, master data stewardship and related metrics. Project management skills, specifically the ability to create timelines and ensure their team's adherence to timelines through prioritization.
