Full Stack Software Engineer
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company's F-35 program seeks an experienced and motivated Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Signature Integration Team for Supportable Low Observables (SLO). This role focuses on developing sophisticated software analysis tools using modern web development technologies. The successful candidate will be part of the F-35 SLO division building and maintaining advanced sustainment software tools. They will implement responsive, data-driven user interfaces and robust backend services while ensuring seamless integration between components. The position involves containerized deployment in cloud-native environments, maintaining high code quality through comprehensive testing and automated pipelines. The role requires working both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with an ability to take full ownership of features and deliver high-quality solutions from concept to production. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical implementation skills with an aptitude for understanding complex domain requirements in the aerospace environment. Typical responsibilities may include: Develop and maintain web-based software tools for tracking and analysis of defects on air vehicles Create and implement algorithms and metrics for data processing in LM owned applications Provide responsive technical support to end users operating the developed solutions Collaborate with cross-functional team members to develop integrated technical solutions addressing both tactical and strategic program risks and issues A level 2 employee typically has 2 - 5 years of professional experience. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or above in one of the following fields: Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or another technical discipline. Experience developing frontend or backend services. Desired Skills: Proficient with React, including modern patterns and hooks. Strong TypeScript experience in production environments. Skilled in utility-first CSS frameworks like Tailwind CSS. Familiarity with data visualization libraries such as visx, D3.js, or equivalents. Experience with state management tools (e.g., React Query, Redux). Exposure to browser-based 3D rendering libraries like three.js is a plus. Experience developing backend services in Go or similar statically typed languages. Knowledge of API-first design and OpenAPI specification. Familiarity with GraphQL (queries, mutations, schema design). Proficient with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL. Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, sessions). Hands-on experience with Docker for development and deployment. Familiarity with Kubernetes or OpenShift, including Helm for deployment management. Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI or GitHub Actions. Strong proficiency with Git and collaborative version control workflows. Skilled in debugging, testing, and conducting thorough code reviews. Familiarity with code quality tools and linters (ESLint, Prettier, Go linters).
