The role The Senior HR Generalist serves as a strategic and operational partner to site leadership and employees, supporting the full spectrum of Human Resources functions. This role is responsible for driving key HR initiatives, managing complex employee relations issues, enhancing workforce engagement, and ensuring legal and policy compliance. The Senior HR Generalist will take a lead role in HR operations and serve as a mentor and resource to HR peers. What youll make an impact Lead complex employee relations matters, including investigations and conflict resolution, while ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance with employment laws. Advise managers and employees on performance management, coaching, disciplinary actions, and workplace conflict, serving as a trusted HR partner. Champion employee engagement initiatives and support a positive workplace culture aligned with company values and strategic goals. Interpret and enforce HR policies and procedures in accordance with federal and state employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, etc.); contribute to ongoing policy development and compliance. Support talent management efforts including succession planning, performance reviews, development planning, and targeted training programs. Facilitate recruiting and onboarding processes in partnership with Talent Acquisition, ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and new hires. Manage HRIS and workforce data reporting, ensuring data accuracy and leveraging analytics for process improvements and strategic insights. Oversee leave of absence cases (e.g., FMLA, ADA, STD/LTD) and assist with benefits communication and administration in collaboration with the Benefits team; lead or support HR projects and mentor junior staff.
What do you bring Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Masters degree preferred. 57 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a focus on employee relations, compliance, and HR project leadership. PHR or SHRM-CP certification required; SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred. Experience working in manufacturing, industrial, or 24/7 operational environments strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws, with high emotional intelligence, discretion, and sound judgment in managing sensitive issues. Proven ability to influence and build effective relationships across all organizational levels; excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR technologies, including HRIS (e.g., Dayforce, Workday, SAP) and applicant tracking systems.
