The Construction Manager serves as the Owners Representative, responsible for managing every stage of data-center delivery from core and shell construction through full white space build-out and commissioning. Acting as a trusted extension of the Owners Project Team, you will direct general contractors, design teams, commissioning agents, and specialty trades to deliver technically complex, schedule-driven projects on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities Project Oversight: Serve as the Owners on-site representative, monitoring construction progress, safety, and quality from shell build through white space delivery. Manage contractor performance, ensuring adherence to contracts, budgets, schedules, and change control processes. Coordinate permitting, inspections, and compliance with local authorities and regulatory standards. Oversee MEP integration, white space layout, cable tray and containment installation, and IT-ready deployment. Direct factory witness testing, onsite commissioning, and integrated systems testing. Manage punch lists, substantial completion, and project closeout, delivering all turnover documentation and warranties. Track progress against schedule, budget, and quality targets, implementing corrective actions when necessary. Provide regular executive-level updates and maintain project documentation in compliance with NEC, OSHA, and client safety requirements. Promote and enforce a safety-first culture on all job sites.
Qualifications
7+ years in construction management, with 3+ years in mission-critical/data center projects. Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related/equivalent experience. Proven experience as an Owners Representative on complex, schedule-driven technical projects. Strong background in electrical systems integration, commissioning processes, and MEP coordination. Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction management tools. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
