Principal Market Development Specialist

We are hiring a Principal Market Development Specialist within the Aortic Business to increase awareness, drive early detection of disease and improve patient access to care via customer engagement. Your passion, focus and service orientation will contribute to success in this role. You will partner with District Managers and their sales teams in the US West Sales Region to guide execution of the US marketing plan, deploying services and solutions to physicians and hospitals. This is an innovative, forward-thinking position across the aortic space within the medical device industry. Reporting into the US Director, Services & Solutions, you will serve as a critical link between the Aortic Marketing and Sales organization. You will leverage your expertise, working closely with the sales reps and district managers to establish meaningful relationships and provide customer insights back to the Marketing team. A Day in the Life: As a motivated, work-from-home, field-based employee, you are a self-starter, constantly networking, planning and traveling, while partnering with district sales managers and their teams to connect with customers, drive strategic engagement and support organizational growth The ability to multi-task is vital to this role, as you balance and complete multiple projects simultaneously with customers; there is tremendous variety to the workday Utilize sophisticated population health data to help develop strategies to find and treat more patients with aortic and vascular disease Align a unique solutions portfolio with the goals of key physician and hospital customers, developing collaborative partnerships and deepening relationships Help support and drive execution of the US aortic integrated marketing plan, working closely with the Marketing Team to develop strategies for market development/therapy awareness at the account level across the communities they serve Influence accounts to commit resources to strategic market development, new service offerings and monetized solutions Develop trusted advisor relationships with physicians, key hospital executives and stakeholders, including but not limited to C-Suite level administrators, marketing/public relations managers, physician champions, and vascular service line managers Communicate clearly the progress of various initiatives to internal and external stakeholders Must be comfortable with ambiguity and have an adaptive mindset; this role will require the piloting of new services where the Field Marketing Team is expected to provide constructive feedback with a professional demeanor to optimize solution offerings Manage resources: Be fiscally responsible and optimize and track allocated expense budget Travel requirements: 40 - 50% Must Have: Bachelor's degree and 7+ years' experience in a marketing, field clinical, sales, or hospital physician liaison role (5 years with Advanced Degree) Project or program management experience MS Office Suite of products primarily Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook Nice to Have: MBA or Master's Degree Experience delivering results while working independently as a field-based employee, without daily supervision Experience working in a pharmaceutical, medical device or healthcare industry role Strong understanding of how Aortic products work and how they are used in the clinical setting Solid track record of working closely with physicians and understanding their needs as customers Solid public speaking and presentation skills Experience in successfully working and navigating the complexity of hospitals and health systems, in a sales role or as a hospital physician liaison Understanding of selling cycles and tangible success in sales and/or marketing within the healthcare field Physical Job Requirements The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.
