Asset Controller
The Asset Controller job ensures that investment accounting policies and procedures are correctly applied to financial transactions. Under minimal supervision, this role works directly with asset management, portfolio management and acquisition/disposition teams. This position leads a team to prepare month end closing reports and subsidiary quarterly financial analytics, and reports to senior management to ensure accurate asset evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial management of a portfolio of renewable assets (photovoltaic, onshore and offshore wind, batteries, hybrid projects, or any other technology within the fund’s investment scope) across the US, including development, construction or operation phases.
Management of Commercial and Technical Management Agreement providers. Oversight and enhancement of the asset’s performance.
Coordinate and oversee workstreams relating to the asset with other AM departments (Fund Finance Team, Head of Revenues, technical team, development unit), the Investment Team and the Divestment Teams.
Financing of renewable assets from debt and tax equity perspectives.
Oversee and coordinate the preparation of the asset’s budget (with internal and external stakeholders) and the ongoing actual versus budget appraisal process (monthly).
Update rolling cash forecasts to identify potential cost overruns or upside, and manage project funding in collaboration with the Fund Finance team.
Implement best-in-class monthly closures, invoicing, and payment supervision. In the short term, this will be a hands-on role.
Manage distributions to investors from the asset perspective and oversee financing agreements and compliance with related undertakings on the project side.
Oversee tax across regional portfolio, manage tax advisors, ensure asset tax compliance with external contractors, support asset transfer pricing exercises if applicable, and support Central team in London with the annual Tax assurance process.
Act as Asset Management Representative in new transactions as part of the Deal Team alongside other Asset Management and Investment Team members.

Base Pay Range: $135,000/yr - $155,000/yr
Actual base salary may vary based on experience, location, and other factors. In addition to base salary, a compensation package may include incentive programs.
