Senior Project Engineer is an experienced project development and design engineering position. This associate provides technical analysis and oversight for project development activities related to site surveys, energy analysis, savings calculations, scope development, technical reports, and project design engineering. Responsibilities

Applies experience based knowledge of engineering principles and practices Provides technical analysis and review for design-build projects related to HVAC, controls, lighting, and other building systems Acts as an internal and external technical resource for complex and advanced engineering projects Performs expert design engineering including: building heating/cooling loads, building envelope, zone airflow, pump and fan design, duct and pipe sizing and layout, equipment selection, drawings and project documentation, technical reports, project submittals, and managing RFI process Leads technical project development engineering efforts of multiple associates on large scale projects Leads site audit activities to identify existing conditions of the facility and associated equipment Assists in initial site visits and vetting of new project opportunities Drives improvement of data capture and analysis technology for the project engineering team Develops data logging plans and deploys data logging equipment for monitoring of systems and facility operations Analyzes data sources, performs trend analysis, identifies deviations, troubleshoots system deficiencies, and proposes improvements Leads scope identification, equipment selection, and defines overall project basis of design Correlates energy model simulations to real world control sequences and setpoints Specifies expert level control sequences of operation to improve efficiency and interoperability Performs expert energy modeling using tools such as TRACE 700 and other analyses Customizes software and spreadsheets to deliver high quality technical results, reports, and presentations Performs system layout, equipment selections, basis of design, and detailed system design for project engineering and cost estimating Manages creation of project documentation drawings in AutoCAD, Revit, and/or MS Visio Manages work with third party consulting engineers and reviews their work products to ensure quality results Interfaces with consulting engineers to provide data and review their work Supports commissioning and performance assurance activities by conducting site visits and revising models to reflect changes Leads creation of detailed scope documents for construction pricing across multiple disciplines Assists with project management tasks and prime contract/change order estimating Ensures projects comply with applicable building codes during development Leads utility rebates and incentives research and application processes Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university 10 years of experience in project engineering Expert proficiency with load analysis and energy analysis tools (e.g., TRACE 700, System Analyzer, Chiller Plant Analyzer) Expert knowledge of site auditing, data logging, and troubleshooting systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit, MS Visio, MS Project, Procore or similar tools Proven experience with Trane TRACE 700, TRACE 3D Plus; Revit and/or MS Project a plus Valid Driver License; Professional Engineer required; CEA/CEM/PEM a plus Ability to read, interpret information, and communicate effectively with management, contractors, coworkers, and customers Ability to apply technical engineering calculations and understand project financial calculations Strong problem-solving, data interpretation, and decision-making abilities Physical and Work Environment

Regularly required to talk and hear; may travel to job sites; ability to sit, stand, walk, and use hands Occasionally may climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch; may lift up to 25 pounds Site visits may involve outdoor work, mechanical rooms, and customer spaces; exposure to various environmental conditions Work environment includes typical office setting with occasional site visits; safety protocols must be followed Other Requirements
