Systems Analyst III - Client Computing & Service Delivery

Position Summary: The Systems Analyst III role is part of a team responsible for managing the lifecycle of IT assets, including tracking, maintaining, and optimizing hardware, software, and other IT resources. Key responsibilities include inventory management, license compliance, procurement, disposal, and ensuring security and cost-effectiveness of IT assets. Collaboration with various departments helps streamline processes and align with organizational goals. Responsibilities

Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of all IT assets (hardware, software, licenses, and related documentation). Procurement: Manage the procurement process for new IT assets, including vendor research, quotes, contract negotiation, and coordinating purchases. Asset Tracking: Track location, status, and usage of IT assets throughout their lifecycle; assign assets to employees; monitor movement between locations; conduct periodic audits. License Management: Ensure software license compliance by tracking usage, managing renewals, and reconciling licenses with installed software. Disposal: Coordinate retirement or disposal of obsolete or excess IT assets in line with policies and regulatory requirements, including data sanitization and environmentally responsible disposal. Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with IT vendors and service providers; manage contracts, resolve issues, and evaluate performance. Documentation: Create and maintain documentation related to IT asset management processes, procedures, and policies (asset inventories, purchase orders, invoices, license agreements). Reporting: Generate reports and provide analysis on IT asset usage, expenditures, compliance, and other metrics to support decision-making and budgeting. Training and Support: Provide training and support to employees on IT asset management processes, tools, and best practices to ensure compliance and efficient use of resources. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement measures to enhance asset management effectiveness and efficiency. Qualifications

Previous experience in IT asset management, inventory management, or related fields. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, hardware, software, and licensing agreements. Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail. Effective communication skills (verbal and written) for collaboration with various teams and stakeholders. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. Proficiency in asset management tools and software (e.g., ServiceNow, Ivanti, NetSuite). Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements related to IT asset management. Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) principles and best practices.
