We are seeking an
IT Asset Manager
to join our team and play a key role in managing and optimizing IT hardware, software, licenses, and related resources. In this role, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets from procurement to deployment to retirement while ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and accurate inventory management. This is a hands-on role requiring both administrative work (tracking, reporting, and vendor coordination) and technical tasks (rack-and-stack deployments, equipment moves, and secure disposal). Key Responsibilities
Manage and track IT hardware, software, and licenses across their lifecycle. Maintain accurate inventory records and update asset data in ServiceNow. Coordinate with procurement to create and process purchase orders for IT hardware and software. Collaborate with vendors and service providers to negotiate pricing and evaluate performance. Ensure compliance with software licensing and organizational policies. Process IT asset requests, validate requirements, and manage shipments, deployments, and reassignments. Partner with engineers and facility operations teams to support asset deployments and infrastructure upgrades. Manage secure disposal or recycling of retired IT assets in compliance with data security regulations. Generate reports on asset utilization, performance, costs, and compliance for management review. Maintain documentation of invoices, warranties, licensing agreements, and related asset records. Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience with ServiceNow for IT asset management and request tracking. Strong understanding of IT hardware, including firewalls, routers, switches, servers, and wireless access points. Knowledge of software licensing compliance and vendor negotiations. Hands-on ability to rack, stack, and move equipment (must be able to lift 50+ lbs). Experience managing the full IT asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal. Strong organizational, documentation, and reporting skills. Ability to work cross-functionally with engineers, procurement, vendors, and operations teams. Seniority level
