Accept and process transactions from bank customers by personal contact, mail, and night deposit; identify customer needs and explain financial products; help resolve customer issues. Cross-train to perform retail banking specialist duties, such as opening new accounts, establishing direct deposit accounts, and providing quality customer service. Promote bank services and products following appropriate cross-selling procedures and refer customers to the proper department when necessary. Adhere to daily opening and closing procedures; secure coins and currency; balance cash; assist with night deposits, mail deposits, and ATM deposits as needed. Complete Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) and other required compliance tasks; report suspicious activities as needed in coordination with management. Provide service to internal customers and assist management as requested; handle special requests such as opening/closing accounts and issuing account printouts. Maintain privacy and confidentiality of customer information; operate required software and equipment; participate in on-site training and retail training classes. Able to work on-site at the assigned location and be willing to extend hours when necessary. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; 12 years post-secondary education and/or cash handling, customer service, or relevant banking experience preferred. Position begins as a Retail Banker with intent to promote to Retail Banking Specialist as skills develop. Proficiency with Outlook, Word, typing, 10-key, and internet usage; willingness to demonstrate Core 5 values with customers and coworkers. Must hold a valid drivers license and have reliable transportation; on-site work required. Education And Experience

Regularly scheduled hours per week: 29 hours or less. Tuesday and Thursday 11:00am 5:30pm; Friday 11:00am 6:00pm; Saturday 8:00am 12:00pm (typically 3 per month). Extended hours may be required. Supervisory Responsibilities

Must have visual acuity to read and process information; ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers; ability to lift coins and currency up to 50 pounds; mobility to work in a standard office setting.
