Overview
WSP USA is seeking a
Movable Bridge Practice Manager
with extensive experience in the management, design, delivery, and business development of movable bridges to work out of a mutually agreed upon WSP USA office location. The role will report to the Director of National Bridges & Structures Practice and covers pursuing, managing, and providing technical services and support for movable bridge projects, including asset management and load rating services. The position supports projects domestically and internationally. Responsibilities
Manage the Movable Bridge Practice consisting of Professional Engineers and Technicians in Electrical, Mechanical and Structural Engineering, led by respective Discipline Leaders. Drive nationwide marketing and business development activities to grow the Movable Bridge Practice. Serve as Project Manager or Discipline Lead for the delivery of Movable Bridge projects. Collaborate with Discipline Leaders to win pursuits, execute projects, and strengthen client relationships. Provide technical support and assist PMs and TEC regional leads on Movable Bridge projects, including pursuits and project delivery. Shape the strategic direction for Movable Bridge in coordination with the Director of National Bridges & Structures Practice and regional leaders. Focus marketing and pursuit efforts on conventional and alternative project delivery methods (Design/Build, CM/GC, Public-Private Partnerships). Attend industry conferences to promote WSP and engage with DOTs and other clients. Participate in professional associations to elevate the organizations profile and client engagement. Provide insights into current and emerging technical trends in Movable Bridges that impact WSP USAs business. Perform additional duties as required, make responsible decisions regarding company resources in line with WSPs Code of Conduct. Travel as needed to deliver duties. Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Structural, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline. 12+ years of relevant post-education professional experience in movable infrastructure design. Professional Engineer license required (multi-state preferred) or ability to obtain within four months of starting. Demonstrated ability in Marketing and Business Development to grow Movable Bridge groups in the USA. Strong working knowledge of movable structures construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and associated business impacts. Experience establishing and managing enterprise-wide, discipline-related programs, projects, and practices. Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to manage broad stakeholder groups. Strategic thinking, analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize under pressure. Organizational agility to gain support from executives, clients, and stakeholders. Ability to adapt to change and flexible scheduling to meet business needs. Proven safety record and ability to abide by WSP health, safety, and harassment policies. Ability and willingness to travel as required. Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in engineering. Extensive experience in marketing, business development, design, construction, rehabilitation and maintenance of movable bridges and structures. Ability to establish and maintain client relationships and gain confidence in the movable bridge industry. Benefits

Expected Salary (all locations):
$149,000 - $300,000 . WSP USA reserves the right to adjust pay based on qualifications, location, and internal equity. About WSP
