Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, bi-lingual Human Resources Specialist to join our team and support a wide range of HR functions. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish and possess a strong understanding of HR best practices, compliance, and employee relations. Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS/payroll systems is highly desirable.

This role requires a proactive and service-oriented professional who can effectively communicate with a diverse workforce, support HR operations, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees on HR-related inquiries, policies, and procedures in both English and Spanish.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire orientation and exit interviews.
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system (ADP preferred).
  • Assist with payroll processing, timekeeping accuracy, and benefits administration.
  • Support recruitment efforts including job postings, screening applicants, and coordinating interviews.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, investigations, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, and other applicable laws.
  • Help coordinate training, employee engagement initiatives, and recognition programs.
  • Prepare HR reports and metrics to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of HR experience; generalist background a plus.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or multi-location environment.
  • Familiarity with payroll and benefits administration processes.
