Crandall & Katt, Attorneys at Law, a prestigious law firm in Roanoke, VA is seeking a dedicated and reliable Front Desk Receptionist. This is a temporary full-time position offering hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with no weekend work required.
This position will report directly to the supervising Front Desk Receptionist and requires an experienced professional who can manage a busy phone system with compassion and efficiency while handling other tasks with precision and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of experience in a professional office, strong clerical skills, and maturity to handle various situations with wisdom and composure.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:
• Provide excellent customer service in a courteous and professional manner, offering general support to clients both in person and over the phone.
• Answer, screen, and direct telephone calls to appropriate personnel, and take messages as needed.
• Actively listen to clients, handling interactions with compassion and empathy.
• Communicate effectively with both staff and clients.
• Notify attorneys of any client issues or problems in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Distribute daily mail, including UPS, FedEx, and USPS packages.
• Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, photocopying, and faxing.
• Ensure the reception area and copy rooms remain tidy and presentable.

• Proficiency with online software applications is helpful; or ability to learn.
Experience
• Required: 2+ years of experience in an administrative/clerical role.
• Preferred: Experience working in a law office is helpful.
Education
• Required: High School Diploma or GED
