The
Senior Manager, Business Development
will serve as a commercial growth engine for Momofuku Goods, leading the charge on identifying, securing, and growing new revenue streams across regional grocery, ethnic specialty, and alternative channels. This is a senior individual contributor role with a hunter mindset, designed for someone who thrives on opening doors, pitching innovative products, and converting whitespace into profitable, long-term partnerships.
Beyond customer acquisition, the Senior Manager, Business Development will own ongoing account management for strategic wins, driving sustainable growth, promotional excellence, and retail execution. This role will collaborate closely with Demand Planning, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to ensure that new business seamlessly transitions into scalable, profitable accounts.
The ideal candidate is a proven builder who can balance strategy and execution - someone equally comfortable sitting across from a new retail buyer as they are analyzing post-promo results and troubleshooting with distributor partners.
Salary Description:
$132,000 - $145,000 annually + bonus + company stock options

Responsibilities:
New Business Acquisition – Lead customer acquisition strategy across regional grocery, ethnic specialty, and alternative channel retailers. Pipeline Ownership – Build, pitch, and close new business opportunities aligned to Momofuku’s distribution and brand priorities. Account Management – Own and manage a portfolio of strategic regional accounts post-win, ensuring strong retail execution, profitable growth, and long-term partnerships. Promotional Strategy – Develop trade plans, manage promo calendars, and analyze post-event ROI to maximize velocity and repeat. Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with Sales leadership, Marketing, Ops, and Finance to ensure seamless execution of launches, resets, and promotional campaigns. Distributor & Broker Management – Build strong relationships with distributor partners (KeHE, UNFI, regionals) and broker networks to accelerate new business and in-store execution. Data-Driven Selling – Use syndicated data (SPINS, Nielsen, IRI) and retailer portals to identify whitespace, build customer sell-in stories, and track performance. Field Engagement – Represent Momofuku at trade shows, food events, and customer meetings; support field execution as needed. Required Qualifications:
6+ years of CPG sales experience, including new business development and/or large regional account management. Demonstrated success in opening new doors and converting whitespace into sustainable business. Strong knowledge of regional grocery, ethnic specialty, or alternative retail formats. Proven experience working with distributor networks (KeHE, UNFI, regionals) and broker partners. Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance sales growth and profitability. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Highly organized, self-starting, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments. Ability to travel as needed to support account acquisition and growth. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a high-growth, entrepreneurial food & beverage brand. Familiarity with premium grocery, global flavors, or emerging categories. Comfort with syndicated data platforms and customer portals. Track record of scaling regional accounts into national partnerships.
