Job Description
Director for Performance Excellence, Strategy, and Communication is a 12-month administrative position that plays a critical leadership role in maintaining AACSB accreditation, advancing the strategic goals of the Dr. Sam Pack College of Business (http://www.tarleton.edu/cob/) , ensuring institutional effectiveness, and managing the College’s internal and external communications. The Director supports operational efficiency and leads efforts in data-driven planning, assessment, digital presence, and stakeholder engagement. The Director serves on the College Leadership Team, acts as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) under the Clery Act, and may represent the Dean in institutional, system, or external engagements.
This position is located on the main campus in Stephenville, Texas and will serve the Fort Worth, Texas campus with occasional travel to Fort Worth. Work hours of Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm or as business requirements indicate.
Key Responsibilities
AACSB Accreditation Leadership (30%)
Lead the College’s efforts to maintain AACSB accreditation, including CIR submissions and annual reporting.
Partner with faculty and administration to ensure compliance with AACSB standards related to curriculum, assessment, faculty qualifications, and societal impact.
Oversee the collection, management, and analysis of institutional data relevant to accreditation and performance metrics.
Strategic Planning & Institutional Assessment (25%)
Lead the development and implementation of the College’s strategic plan and mission-aligned goals.
Coordinate program-level assessment and support faculty in the development and use of student learning outcomes.
Ensure alignment with institutional and accreditation standards (e.g., SACSCOC, AACSB) for planning, assessment, and continuous improvement.
Communication & Digital Strategy (25%)
Manage the College’s internal and external communication strategy, including newsletters, announcements, reports, and branding.
Oversee the College’s website content, updates, and structure to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with institutional goals.
Coordinate social media strategy to promote College activities, faculty accomplishments, and student success.
Serve as a liaison with University Marketing and Communications on behalf of the College.
Operational and Administrative Coordination (20%)
Oversee strategic projects and manage key administrative workflows in coordination with departments and campus units.
Prepare formal reports and responses to system, board, and external stakeholders.
Supervise assigned professional staff and lead staff development initiatives.
Support budgeting and resource planning efforts with the Dean and College leadership.
Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Eight years of related experience in management, including five years in higher education, preferably within a college or school of business.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated success in managing complex administrative projects with multiple stakeholders.
Working knowledge of accreditation standards and institutional effectiveness.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with enterprise systems (e.g., Banner).
Proficiency in web design software (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, or equivalent content management systems).
Preferred Requirements
Experience with AACSB accreditation, strategic planning, or program assessment.
Experience managing website content and higher education communications.
Familiarity with social media platforms and branding best practices in an academic environment.

Salary Range
The target base annual salary range is commensurate with experience and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
