The Transfer Coordinator advances enrollment goals for the university by serving Transfer Students during their transition to Tarleton State University. The Transfer Coordinator will also support new students by addressing needs of other special populations like online learners, international students, and Spanish-speaking families. Reports to the Director of New Student Programs. Normal work hours are Monday to Friday; from 8 AM to 5 PM or as business needs indicate. This position requires a flexible work schedule which at times will require frequent attendance during evenings and weekends. Additional hours may be required during peak periods. Essential Duties: 35% Transfer Student Programming: Serve as liaison and primary advocate for intentional year-round support efforts for new transfer students. Primary responsibility for Texan Camp, T-Week Transfer Track, and spring transfer programming. Continually assess departmental transfer initiatives to meet the needs of our transfer student population.

20% Online Orientation Resources: Curate an online library of resources for incoming students navigating the transition to Tarleton. Creatively address needs for Online Orientation alternatives for populations like spring admits, distance learners, international students, outreach campuses, and students who cannot attend traditional Orientation due to unique circumstances.

10% Spanish Translation Services: Serve as departmental partner to the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to extend the slate of resources for Spanish-speaking families attending Texan Orientation. This can include, but is not limited to, Spanish-translated printed materials, headset translation services, and organizing Spanish-speaking staff. Spanish-fluency is not required to successfully fulfill this role, but is a plus.

5% Programming for Fort Worth Campus: Partner with colleagues on the Fort Worth Campus to build and deliver audience-appropriate transition support for Fort Worth students at the start of Fall and Spring semesters.

20% Supporting Departmental Programming: Assist the department with delivery of New Student Programs for the traditional freshman population on the Stephenville Campus. This can include office coverage, phone coverage, day-of program duties, and general assistance to staff colleagues at the discretion of the Director.

10% Performs other duties as assigned to support New Student Programs, Prospective Student Engagement, and the Division of Enrollment Management.

Education and Experience: Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Two years of related experience.

Preferred Experience: Masters Degree.

Two years experience serving students face-to-face in a college setting or equivalent experience with any combination of hospitality, event planning, and/or working with adult learners.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Spanish-fluency preferred.

Other Requirements: Willingness to work modified hours and/or work on weekends as dictated by program offerings and other responsibilities.

The target base annual salary is $39,120 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
