We are looking for Team Leader, Sanitation interested in a career with a top ranked and growing snack company, to join our Warehouse department at PIM’s Somerset site, New Jersey. This position will report to our Manager, Sanitation.

Job Overview

The incumbent serves as the first line leader and has responsibility for sanitation for all Somerset buildings, approximately 40 associates on the first and second shift operations. Through strong leadership, establishes the goals for the team and drives world-class operational performance. Will not only drive operational performance but develop exceptional talent through hiring great talent, development activities, and associate engagement initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provides leadership & development to team and associates to provide direction, inspire, challenge and guide activities pertinent to Sanitation, Safety, Machine Care, Quality, Productivity, Cost, and People.

Aligns continuous improvement initiatives with key performance metrics to drive goals.

Delivers with a commitment to excellence and a dissatisfaction with the status quo.

Develops positive relationships with internal constituents and support teams.

Provides training and coaching on job skills, safety policies, rules and regulations, as well as other company policies and sanitation standards. Leads by example.

Effectively manages all employee relations matters and conflict resolution and tracks and ensures associates comply with attendance policies.

Ensures focus and accountability, facilitates collaboration, continuous improvement, and achievement of results.

Ensures team complies with GMP and HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety, food quality and customer specifications.

Maintains safe work environment, conducts quality and safety audits and partners with Quality to ensure compliance to SQF.

Completes all reporting, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and works with Engineering, Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement to resolve any equipment inefficiencies. Ensures correct reporting of production and adherence to inventory procedures including FEFO control.

Coordinates production activities with planning, warehouse, procurement, facilities/maintenance, sanitation, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources and equipment.

Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, sanitation, and operation reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems.

Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.

Complies with GMP and HAACP guidelines to ensure food safety.

Carries out all QC/QA directives as they pertain to plant cleaning and sanitation as communicated by the Sanitation Manager

Ensures cleanliness of all production machinery and facility areas.

Complies with, understand and carry out all relevant company policies and standards.

Establishes and execute cleaning and sanitation procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)

Assists in the implementation of newly developed methods and process improvements to enhance performance, control costs and generate high satisfaction levels from production and QC/QA colleagues.

Evaluates cleaning and sanitation products and maintain uninterrupted supplies and inventories.

Implement and monitor GMP standards that relate to cleanliness, sanitation, pest control and chemicals.

Manages key projects as assigned.

Education, Experience and Training

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering or another related field is preferred.

One (1) to three (3) years supervisory experience in a manufacturing/production environment.

Knowledge of SQF, NSF, or ISO22000 preferred.

Strong focus with the courage, drive, and discipline to execute.

Worksite:

The PIM Brands Manufacturing Site is located in Somerset, New Jersey

The PIM Brands Manufacturing Site is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

This position requires working onsite.

Physical Demands

Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling and crouching. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools and controls. Lifting and moving of objects weighing at least 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations will be evaluated and considered to enable an individual to perform the essential job functions.

Work Environment:

Job will generally be performed in the warehouse and manufacturing plant. When on the floor it is representative of a large, busy manufacturing operation. Noisy, active, objects on the floor, constant movement and traffic flow of motorized equipment. Hair net, beard net, assigned work uniform, protective eye wear and gloves are among the GMP required apparel that must be worn, if indicated, on the plant floor.

The pay range for this position is $55,000-$65,000. PIM Brands takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
