Continuous improvement of monitoring and observability capabilities Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize software delivery for scale, performance, and cost Continuously monitor, log, and alert using tools like NewRelic and Sentry to ensure high uptime and preemptive issue resolution System reliability efforts such as Sentry, application log monitoring, system availability, and performance monitoring Design, setup, and management of new and existing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab Kubernetes and ECS orchestration initiatives for optimal containerization and deployment Manage and optimize AWS cloud resources with attention to performance, security, and cost-effectiveness Deploy infrastructure as code solutions using Terraform or Pulumi Implement and maintain security best practices across infrastructure and deployments Create and maintain internal tooling and processes to improve efficiency Design, improve, and maintain internal developer tooling (local environments, CLI utilities, automation scripts) to boost developer productivity and experience Qualifications (Must Haves)
5-8 years of DevOps experience in a senior role Proven experience with AWS services and infrastructure as code Advanced skills in application health triage using logs, alerts, and forensic data Hands-on experience with Grafana for monitoring and observability Experience with monitoring/observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Sentry, Splunk, Sumo Logic, etc.) Passion for system reliability and performance monitoring Strong experience building and supporting full-stack internal tools with JavaScript/TypeScript or equivalent Knowledge of networking, security, and database management in cloud environments Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines, ideally in GitLab Solid Kubernetes and container orchestration experience Proficiency in Bash or equivalent scripting Strong written and verbal communication and proactive problem-solving Remote work experience and ability to communicate on Slack or similar Fundamental understanding of DevSecOps practices Experience working in an Agile environment Nice to Haves
AWS, Kubernetes, or Docker certifications Experience with other clouds (Azure, Google Cloud Platform) Past roles in fintech or startup settings Benefits
