Peoplelink Staffing has a client in High Point looking for Mid- Shift Event/Set Technician.

Shift: 11am-7:30pm M-F Pay: $17/hr Temp to Hire

Please note this is more of a janitorial style role. No Planning or Coordinating.

Set up and cleaning will be the main responsibilities.

Position Summary: The SET technician duties are focused on responding to the material moving and event set up needs at the assigned account. The position includes assisting with office moves, setting up for major events, preparing for sporting events and more. The role also includes keeping the premises of the account buildings in clean, safe and orderly condition. This involves janitorial duties as well as any other event needs.

Position Responsibilities:

Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs. Process and complete these as well Loading and unloading furniture from our moving trucks and ensuring that all items are moved undamaged Wrapping furniture or other sensitive items in protective material ensuring no damage occurs and reporting if any damage does occur Securing all items in the vehicle with straps before moving to prevent shifting of items in transit Moving items from one location to another Hand hoisting furniture both up and down Setting up items (furniture/event equipment, etc.) in the assigned locations and during events Answering questions from the client about the moving process and communicating effectively with Manager/Dispatch about any changes/concerns Reports any malfunctions/maintenance issues to the supervisor. Discusses work problems and/or schedule problems with supervisor/Director. May be required to lock/unlock doors General cleaning, sweeping and mopping floors, removing debris, cleaning windows and bathrooms, emptying trash and removing cardboard and cleaning storage areas Assists in project cleaning which includes lifting and removing furniture from rooms. Will also include scrubbing floors, stripping and waxing and carpet cleaning as needed Operates various types of equipment and machinery which include wet vacuums, hand trucks, vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors, floor buffers, automatic scrubbers, etc. Handles emergency clean up situations Assists in the completion of the workload in the absence of other service workers

Position Qualifications/Skills:

Proven work experience as a move or in a similar role required 2+ years of direct work experience, preferred Valid drivers' license is required to operate moving vehicles Excellent interpersonal skill-Ability to build effective professional relationships with all team members and the client Able to work independently in a fast paced environment and maintain a professional company representation at all times

Physical Demands:

Able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and work up to 8 hours daily Able to use hands to handle or feel and reach with arms and hands Able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds Able to communicate effectively with others Able to hear and understand Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
