Overview:

The

Business Development (BD) Specialist

supports the Litigation Department's marketing and business development initiatives, including White Collar, Complex Litigation, Securities Enforcement, and Appellate practice groups. This role focuses on pitches and proposals, legal directory submissions, and event coordination, while collaborating with attorneys, BD Managers, and internal teams. Reports to the Director of Business Development.

Location: New York or Washington, DC

Responsibilities

Support BD efforts for assigned practice groups, attorneys, and firm initiatives.

Draft, edit, and coordinate RFPs, pitches, and proposals.

Lead submissions to legal rankings (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500, Law360).

Manage logistics for webinars, sponsorships, conferences, and events.

Maintain and update practice group content, marketing materials, and bios.

Leverage CRM and experience databases for targeting and content development.

Coordinate research and data requests with internal departments.

Mentor junior BD team members and contribute to broader BD projects. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.

3+ years of experience in business development, marketing, or client relations; legal industry preferred.

Strong writing, editing, and project management skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); CRM experience a plus.

Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism when working with senior stakeholders.

Team-oriented, adaptable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Maintains discretion and handles confidential information with care.
