- Manage month-end and year-end closings, financial statements, and reporting.
- Direct the preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and coordinate external audits.
- Supervise payroll processes, accounts payable, and other general ledger functions.
- Serve on the City's leadership team in developing and managing the biennial budget.
- Research and implement best practices, new regulations, and industry standards.
- Mentor and manage finance staff, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and teamwork.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive finance experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, GASB, and government finance standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to balance big-picture financial strategy with hands-on operational detail.
- Valid Utah Driver's License and ability to pass standard pre-employment checks.
- Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO) or equivalent professional certification.
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
