Role: Scrum Master
Location: Irving, TX
5 days onsite.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) across multiple Scrum teams.
• Guide teams in Agile best practices, fostering continuous improvement, self-organization, and a culture of experimentation.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure well-defined backlogs, clear sprint goals, and alignment with business priorities.
• Identify and remove blockers, escalate issues as needed, and ensure timely delivery of sprint commitments.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration among teams, suppliers, architects, and engineers.
• Help teams estimate and plan work effectively.
• Track and report Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, team health) to drive transparency and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Engineering Managers to align resources and ensure quality deliverables.
• Act as a servant leader, coach, and mentor to Agile teams.
• Champion Agile values and help the organization mature in its Agile journey.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to automate administrative tasks, enhance team productivity, and provide actionable insights.
• Support adoption of AI/ML workflows by facilitating Agile practices tailored to data science, model development, and deployment lifecycles.
• Promote experimentation with AI-driven techniques for backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
“MUST HAVE” SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• 3-5 years of experience in the software development lifecycle (SDLC), with 4+ years as a Scrum Master supporting multiple teams.
• Strong experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and Agile metrics.
• Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and other Agile project tracking tools.
• Proven ability to lead Agile transformations and coach teams to higher maturity.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and software quality practices.
• Experience using AI-enhanced tools for team collaboration, reporting, and decision-making.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM, SAFe SM).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Familiarity with Git (GitLab), Jira, and Confluence.
• Experience in the retail or e-commerce domain.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and development workflows, including the data science lifecycle, model training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Experience in using AI-powered tools to automate administrative tasks, track metrics, and provide data-driven insights to the team.
• Understanding of ethical AI practices and how they intersect with Agile values and team dynamics.
