Maintenance Technician

Our client is a market leader in the food industry and has been so over 120 years. They are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their team. In this role this person will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment including electrical systems in their food manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections, maintenance and repairs on sealing equipment to minimize downtime.
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
• Perform inspections and tests on finished products verifying proper sealing and integrity.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues on various systems, and ensure that all maintenance work adheres to safety standards
• Collaborate with production staff and management to optimize efficiency and production output.
• Provide competent and effective maintenance support to the plant operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components of seaming equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records.
• Ensure all maintenance and repair work complies with safety regulations and standards
• Collaborate with production and quality control teams to optimize seaming processes.
• Order and maintain an inventory of spare parts and supplies.
• Support the facility's food safety, SQF, and GMP programs to ensure compliance and achieve desired outcomes

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
• Two or more years of maintenance experience, preferably in an industrial/manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in food manufacturing
• Electrical experience required
