Diesel Mechanic
Join a dynamic team that provides full service leasing, contract maintenance, and daily commercial rentals. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will perform major engine overhauls and work directly with a Journeyman Technician. You will handle a variety of vehicles, including tractors, day cabs, utility vehicles, fleet vehicles & trailers, step vans, and construction vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Perform major engine overhauls.
- Work directly with a Journeyman Technician.
- Conduct minor repairs including clutch, transmission, and engine repairs.
- Perform engine tune-ups.
- Conduct electrical and electronic inspection testing.
- Execute trailer repairs.
Essential Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of mechanic work on diesel engines.
- Proficiency in diesel repair, brake systems, transmission, and engine repair.
- Skilled in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Experience with preventive maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude verified through professional and personal experience.
- Experience repairing brakes, engines, transmissions, and electric & electronic components.
- Previous work on fleet vehicles such as semis, construction vehicles, and diesel trucks is a plus.
- Ownership of personal tools.
- Diesel tech Diploma/Certification from a Technical College.

Work Environment:
The facility is modern and fully equipped to support a full service shop. It offers a very clean environment. The 1st shift runs from 7am to 3:30pm, with minimal overtime. The 2nd shift is from 3:30pm to midnight. Employees are provided with allowances for work attire and tools.

This is a Permanent position based out of Madison, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $80000.00/yr. We offer a direct hire position with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. Our company is locally owned with 8 locations across 2 states, providing stability and growth opportunities. Employees receive annual raises and a shift premium for second shift. Additionally, you can earn monthly bonuses based on efficiency, and we provide allowances for work boots, glasses, and tools. Some of our technicians are currently making over $100k annually.
