Construction Services Coordinator

GPD is currently seeking a Construction Services Coordinator for our Akron OH or Indianapolis IN offices to provide administrative construction support for our Telecommunications Practice. This person will work collaboratively across offices, and with contractors and vendors, to gather information from the field, ensure adherence with the design documents, and create close-out compliance reports. Job Qualifications:
0-5 years of experience in a coordination administrative role. High School diploma is required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or Construction Technology is preferred. Experience with supporting construction projects and punch-list documentation is preferred. Experience in the Architecture / Engineering industry or a professional office setting is preferred. General understanding of construction documents and processes. Basic knowledge of, or be willing to learn, codes, standards, and building construction methods. Positive attitude and the ability to work within a fast-paced multi-site industry for repetitive clients. Ability to work within a team environment working with individuals from various offices. Ability to work on various projects in different stages simultaneously. AutoCAD experience is a plus but not required. Basic proficiency in Bluebeam and MS Office products (Excel) experience. Must be organized and possess solid communication and professional writing skills. Must be detail oriented and have the ability to learn and understand technical systems. Willingness to suggest improvements, develop best-practices, and implement ways to improve processes. Valid Driver's License is required. Day-to-day Job Responsibilities:
Assist Project Teams with construction administration and field services for Telecommunications infrastructure (i.e. towers). The review of design documents and construction information provided by a general contractor for tower construction. Validate the accuracy of provided construction information. Verify installation is in general conformance with design documentation through provided information. Organize and file information provided by client and contractor. Document, report, and communicate findings, especially variances, with key stakeholders (Project Manager, Contractor, Client, etc.). Attend and contribute to the coordination and scheduling of close-out documentation and administration. Contribute and create project summaries, tracking construction status, gathering field information, and report to key stakeholders. Schedule, oversee, and collaborate with vendor crews to gather field information, photos, reports, etc. Some travel may be required on occasions.
