06/03/25 Primary Purpose: To safeguard the district's investment in materials with efficient and effective warehousing Practices. Assist in receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering equipment, tools, and supplies and maintaining inventory control. To satisfy those district needs in a prompt and efficient manner that can be met by the distribution of items stored within the warehouse.
Qualifications: Education/Certification: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Valid TX driver's licensejob Driving record that meets the requirements of the district's insurance carrier Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to understand and follow detailed written or verbal instructions Ability to perform basic math Ability to communicate effectively with others Preferred Experience: Previous experience in warehouse protocol preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties: Distribution/Route Driving
Inspect for damage or defects on route for delivery. Verify the accuracy of shipment by counting items and verifying description, and code numbers with information on invoices or Work orders and purchase orders; record any discrepancies. Report to Supervisor. Mark identifying information on items. Load all supply orders and check against the requisition. Pack and stage pulled orders in designated areas. Assist in the unloading of delivery trucks, verifying merchandise received, and stocking shelves Sort mail that was picked up on routes to appropriate delivery locations. Store items according to established warehouse procedures (First in First out) Fill requisitions from stock items; verify accuracy of orders pulled; deliver finished orders to the requestor and obtain the necessary signatures on the trip tickets. Assist in the removal of furniture in work orders. Take periodic physical inventory of stock items and compare the totals with the computer inventory totals. Maintain the warehouse in an orderly manner by periodic cleaning, re-stocking, and any other necessary procedures.
Safety
Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and carrying. Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles according to prescribed safety procedures. Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and promptly report any conditions that are not immediately correctable to the supervisor. Other
Train new personnel, as required, to ensure the smooth and orderly operation of the warehouse. Pull orders and drive routes wherever needed. Assist the drivers with the deliveries of large and heavy loads. Deliver special project merchandise and rush orders. Maintain the warehouse and grounds in a neat, clean, and orderly manner. Maintain the wash area in a neat and orderly manner. Follow established warehouse procedures in the performance of the above-named duties.

Preferred: Forklift, Pallet Jack (manual and electric), dolly, hand truck/cart Required: 27,000 GVW bobtail, 1-ton cab truck, 1-3/6-ton van, CPU, Standard office equipment including computer and peripherals. Posture/Motion:
Frequent standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of a mouse; frequent walking, climbing ladders and scaffolding; grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, and overhead reaching; frequent driving . Lifting:
Heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds and over) on a daily basis. Environment:
Work outside and inside, on slippery or uneven walking surfaces; frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust, toxic chemicals and materials, noise, and vibration; work around moving objects or vehicles; may work alone; occasional prolonged or irregular hours. Mental Demands:
Maintain emotional control under stress ;
